September 2021 Journal
Can you believe it? The dog days of summer are upon us, the crisp air and cooler nights are on the way. This is my FAVORITE time of year!
As nature prepares us for winter, she spreads her beautiful array of colors before us, to inspire us, to lend to our creativity, and bless our souls. There are so many fall themed projects and so little time. Whether you enjoy quilting, hand stitching, wool applique, or mixed medial, there is something for everyone, I hope we will all explore something new this season.
STUDIO UPDATES
The studio is open for regular hours. We are receiving new fabric shipments weekly, and are so excited to share them with you. New patterns, books, notions, wools and treads expected soon as well. Our Facebook page shares all the items as they arrive along with sneak peaks to let you know what we are expecting.
I have started something fun, you may have even noticed, but here we go, we will be selecting a “Fresh Picked” fabric, thread, pattern and or motion each week to highlight. Soon it will become a weekly stream, so watch for more details, follow us Facebook, and we will keep you informed.
Classes and events for the rest of 2021 have been posted. Click here to view the details!
HEY TILDA LOVERS….
Hold on to your hat, Windy Days are a coming!
This year‘s Autumn/Winter collection is inspired by the windy days of fall, when leaves twirl while the wind catches your umbrella and blows your hat off. The figurative Windy walks design in four color-ways are fun fabrics to use for backing letting the quilts reverse tell the story. This seasons flowers are loosely inspired by Indian block prints which go well with the look. All the designs have names pertaining to wind and the Aella blenders in seven colors are useful and easy to blend with the rest of the collection right along with Tilda chambrays. Windy Fays will release October 1, 2021. Get in touch to pre-order from this beautiful collection.

Watch our Facebook page on a regular basis, be the first to get a glance of beautiful prints and get all the details to know when the pre-orders are open. This collection will blow off the selves in one Windy Day!
As the end of the year approaches we will be begin planning for 2022.
See soon…

Slow stitching is a mindful craft that involves using a needle and thread to create art, rather than to mend or make clothing. It's a way to relax, unleash creativity, and engage with the materials in a mindful way. Spend an evening unplugged and relaxed with some cool slow stitching. Enjoy some time working on an ongoing stitching project, start a new one or experience some slow stitching techniques, meant to soothe the soul and spark creativity. Slow stitching only, please select busy hands for all other stitching projects.
