June Journal
Hello Everyone! I know it’s been more than awhile, and I have been promising to get a newsletter out to all of you. With the uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus and business status, planning has been very hard. Over the past two months most communication has been through social media, phone calls, emails and text messages.
FGQ has remained open with delivery, curb side pickup and by appointment only. Some class events or groups have met virtually, and now there is hope that June will bring us all back together in the studio. We will have smaller groups and practice safe distancing as well as donning our masks and gloves. This too, shall pass with time. We have all heard how businesses small and large are going through some tough times. It is comforting to know that because of your support for local businesses many may pull through this struggle.
If you are looking online for items, be sure to check with a local merchant and give them the chance to order that item in. Wait times may be a bit longer, but time is something we all have right now. And at some point we can all rest better knowing that this crisis will soon be under control.
I would like to thank those of you who have remembered me during this trying time. You have continued to support me in so many ways, and I can’t tell you just how much that means to me. Blessings come in many ways, I am truly blessed with your friendships. The past year or so has been trying to say the least, but Bill and I have moved into the house just two weeks ago, and I can say that we are sleeping very well.
Our new home is very comfortable, but I believe that moving is the most tiring experience of all! My head hits the pillow hard every night, and I sleep so well. We are still completing some projects, and will soon be working on the grounds to make them all we would like them to be.
FGQ May 2020
I have spent some time finding new patterns, making kits, and putting together some new class and group offerings. The studio has stocked some beautiful new wool colors and a wonderful assortment of specialty threads and notions. Whether you come in for a visit, or participate in a virtual meet and greet, I look forward to sharing it all with you soon. The class listings are available as you read on, and new classes will be posted each month.
Studio Hours
You will find me here on scheduled class days, and open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10-5, Tuesday and Friday from 10-2, other times by appointment, and soon I will add one Saturday a month. I am Closed on Sundays and Holidays. If you are making a special trip, please call and check to make sure I’ll be open, sometimes things come up that take me out of the Studio.
The Studio is located at 248 Mangum Road, in Beaver Grove. Take US 41 south from Marquette towards Harvey/Escanaba, you will proceed about 3 miles south of the US41-M28 intersection in Harvey to Mangum Road, it is a left turn, there is a used car shop, GT Auto Sales on the corner. Travel about 3/4 of a mile, the drive way is between the first two curves, black mailbox and Welcome Flag are at the end of the driveway, the house is white and currently under renovation. The Studio is located behind the house, it is red with a black roof and door, and can be seen from the road as you approach. I look forward to seeing many new faces!
