January 2021 Journal
The Studio was very busy right up to the Christmas Holiday. And Santa needed a little time herself to prepare for her family and friends. Burning the midnight oil worked and all that had to be done was done.
Winter is truly here as we find a good snow covering all around us. While we will continue with our regular business hours, please keep an eye on our Facebook page as it announces any change in schedule, and weather closures.
During the month of January the Studio will kick off our Stitch Spargo, Tilda, and the brand new Featherweight Friday clubs. Each month in our event schedule you will find new classes, as we will continue to host our Busy Hands open stitch, and Sew In. All events have a limited amount of available seating so please contact the studio to reserve your spot. Private shopping appointments are available as well, and new items are arriving each week.
Winter is a great time to finish some UFO’s, and begin something new. And don’t forget, Spring is right around the corner, and wonderful new projects are on the way.
I am excited to announce that Farmgirl Quilts will be releasing its first two new patterns this month, Selvage Birds, and Small Snowman Pillow. A new endeavor that I am very excited to share with all of you. New Linen bolts are arriving soon, and the long-awaited Woodland line from Tilda has been promised for the middle of the month.
Although this past year has been a wild ride, we have found ways to navigate it and arrive to hopefully the end of it, looking towards the future with hope and gratitude. Things haven’t been easy but adversity gives strength and resilience gives power. As we move into a New Year, I wish you Love, Peace, and Happiness. Togetherness with family and friends in the New Year, the warmth of memories from past holidays, hope and belief that the good will prevail and there will be relief, for all of us.
As we ring in the New Year, this is an opportunity for me to send A HEARTFELT THANK YOU for all your support this year and wish you a New Year of Prosperity, Good Health, Joy and Love!
May the New Year inspire you to rejoice in the memories to come, restore your faith in mankind, and give to others with an open heart. Renew your belief in all that is good; know that you are strong and resilient. You have overcome the adversity of this past year, and you are ready for what comes your way this New Year.

Featherweight Fridays
Registration is now open for Featherweight Fridays!!
We will be meeting monthly starting in January. You must own a Singer Featherweight sewing machine to attend. You will be working on your own projects and there will be optional group projects offered!
The Annual Studio Fee is $50. Please register as space is limited, and two groups may be needed.
We are still working on getting the Featherweight School House scheduled, more detail will be available soon…

It's never to early to start planning your gift giving ideas. Join us each month from March thru October to make Eight Zippered Bags that make wonderful gifts for all ages. Zippy Bags 3 by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet is a lightweight canvas panel featuring the pieces and instructions to make four large (14" x 12") and four small (9" x 8") zippered bags. Each bag uses a colored zipper from Lori's Happy Zippers. Panel size is 56" x 56". We have built a great kit to make these projects even easier. Photo show three of the Zippy bags. Kit Includes: * Instructions are printed on the panel * Lori Holt Zippy Bags 3 lightweight canvas panel * 8 colored Lori Holt Happy Zippers 2 * Three yards of Lori Holt coordinating cotton fabrics for linings Cost detail: This is an eight session class group, each class session is priced at $20 per day of 5 hours of studio instruction, plus kit cost of $75.95 plus tax.
