February 2022 Journal
Hello, Friends! The weather is cold outside, but the temperature inside has been perfect for getting some stitching done! We have all been busy here at the studio working to get many new kits cut and packaged for your stitching needs. We are restocking our threads, new fabrics are arriving, and we are happy to announce that we have received Tilda's newest release, Windy Days, it is just beautiful, and many of you are already adding it into your stash, and some have already started sewing up some great projects.
Keep a watch out for the unveiling of original Farmgirl Quilts patterns to the studio, we are really excited to share our own ideas with all of you.
This month we will launch a workshop series of Season's of the Heart, from Bonnie Sullivan, All Through the Night. As usual we have put our spin on the colors, which you should find eye pleasing for sure. Class and Club groups are underway, please look through the listings, and plan your calendar spending a little time here with us.
Mini art quilts are in the making throughout this year as well. We have been busy with the hopes that you will all find something that interests you.
We promise to provide inspiration, creativity and friendship with each visit. Don't forget that we are stocked with your wool applique, creative stitching and quilting needs.
Things to look forward to at FQ Studio…

Paper piece this Jen Kingwell favorite in a curated collection of Sharp Cheddar and Indigo! This beautiful color combination is a pleaser and paper piecing makes it sew much fun. We will begin this series with an informative lecture on scrappy quilting techniques and class preparation for the three month series ahead. This session is mandatory, and will outline everything you need to know to move forward to complete your quilt.

Slow stitching is a mindful craft that involves using a needle and thread to create art, rather than to mend or make clothing. It's a way to relax, unleash creativity, and engage with the materials in a mindful way. Spend a Sunday afternoon unplugged and relaxed with some cool slow stitching. Enjoy some time working on an ongoing stitching project, start a new one or experience some slow stitching techniques, meant to soothe the soul and spark creativity.

This day is all about you and your sewing. Machine or hand sewing welcome. Come and join in the fun. Bring your own project and supplies.
