AUGUST 1, 2021

August 2021 Journal

It has been some time since we have connected. I am hoping that I can get back to a normal routine soon.

As Summertime is upon us our days stretch longer, the sun shines brighter and hotter, and our sunscreen stash gets a refresh, we're celebrating the warmth and fun of the summer season. Whether you're revitalizing your garden, planting some tomatoes, or adding a stock tank pool to your backyard, I bet you're just as excited as I am to get outside. And even if summer doesn't mean three months of summer vacation anymore (because we're, you know, adults), we can still look forward to an adventure by crossing things off our ultimate bucket list with some end-of-summer activities or curling up with a new favorite quilt, as the endless days of summer are here.

Our U.P., summers are simply the best, with its laid-back anything goes mentality. No school means late nights for the kids, and more time to spend with our grandkids. Looser schedules equal more time to spend on the lake, take a bike ride, enjoy a walk, or linger in the backyard, playing games, enjoying a bonfire, and of course roasting a few marshmallows. Or maybe you've been visiting the farmers market, and you are preserving those fresh finds to enjoy all year round.

Whatever your summertime fancy is, enjoy it, make it a memory, and share it with those you love. Enjoy the warmth of summer as it wraps itself around you, like your favorite quilt.
