April 2022 Journal
Where has the month of March gone? April is here and the snow is melting, slowly but surely. I ask my self each morning, “what will this day bring, where will I find my inspiration to create, what can I share, what can I give?” Yes, this is how I start each day.
Life brings with it much good, and many tests through out each day. Finding gratitude and something to be grateful for can be a challenge. I have learned much about gratitude over the past year. Bringing peace to ones soul is delivered in many ways, many walks and many works.
I find peace in my love for my family, the gifts of friendship I share with so many, and the creativity I find to soothe my soul.
Part of the creative process is sourcing. Much time is spent curating the fabrics, threads, and projects to offer. They reflect my inner soul and are an expression of what I feel. How a print or color calms or excites, will it tell a story or help others to write a new one. Will it inspire others to be creative, or will it begin a new lesson? These thoughts and ideas are what go through my head when searching for items to share at the studio.
We proudly offer various fabrics from MODA, Blank Quilting, Tilda's World, Andover, and others. Artisan hand dyed Wool. Stitching threads from Sue Spargo and Valdani. Many patterns including Buttermilk Basin, All Through the Night, Granny's Legacy, MODA, Jen Kingwell, Sue Spargo, GE Designs and more. Books, notions, Stripology rulers and accessories, Featherweight machines and supplies. If we don't have it, we can get it.
If you have not dropped by to visit us please think of visiting this spring. Start the season off with a colorful selection of curated items meant to mix and match, meant to spark your heart with creativity, and begin a new friendship with Farmgirl Quilts.
Happy Spring,
Tina
